02 / HOW IT WORKS

Private by architecture,
not just by promise.

Traditional converters upload media to a server, process it there and send a result back. SoundToStory loads the conversion engine into your browser and keeps the working files in local memory.

05 / FAQ

A few things worth
knowing first.

Do my files upload to SoundToStory?+

No. Audio, video and image conversion runs in your browser. The selected media, filenames and converted results are not sent to SoundToStory.

Which formats are supported?+

Audio supports MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, M4A, OGG and OPUS. Video supports MP4, WebM, MOV, MKV and GIF, plus audio extraction. Images support JPG, PNG and WebP.

Why do I need an account?+

An account lets SoundToStory enforce fair free limits, keep plan status and protect paid access. Your media still stays on the device.

Will conversion quality change?+

It depends on the source and output. Lossy formats trade some information for smaller files. SoundToStory shows relevant controls and lets you preview the result.
